Please not that external subtitles isn't supported by DLNA. The fact that the TV can render them from USB has little to do with this. Samsung and Panasonic have both come up with their own "non-standard" way to handle this, but not every manufacturer use any of these. UMS supports both, but the ...

I guarantee you that the problem changed. The symptom is the same, but this is a very generic symptom than can have many reasons. Both internal and external subtitles work for most users, so it's not like this is generally broken.

The external srt subtitles don't work with UMS. (The TV supports them, because they're usable from USB, so the TV is obviously not the problem)
