Hello,
I really miss the minimized start. Therefore I still stick with 6.8.0
I even changed the /Applications/Universal Media Server.app/Contents/Info.plist that it doesn't show UMS icon in the Dock. So it is nearly an Agent with only the menu icon.
Can I somehow hack 9.6.1 that the app starts ...

Amplifier Plugin (Normalize)
Hello,
is there a amplifier plugin? I have a problem that most movies are to silent. I have to go to 100 by my TV and even then its to silent.

Re: Globally disable transcoding
Thanks for answering. I'll look at little bit closer. Maybe I can disable all the conf file I made.

Globally disable transcoding
Hello,
how do I globally disable transcoding? I made a conf file for every device that contains:
Device = 192.168.0.12
disable_transcode_for_extensions = mp4,m4v,mkv,avi,mpg,mpeg
But do I need that for each device? Can I do?:
Device = 192.168.0.12 192.168.0.13 192.168.0.14
or:
Device = 192.168 ...

Re: Anyone have VLC for iOS working?
Its still the same here. iOS VLC, no content displayed... but it worked 1 time. I downloaded VLC for iOS, I started... no content. So put the iPad aside without quitting VLC. Later I opened the lid again and tatarata... content! And all the movies where playing smoothly. But after this 1 time, it ...

Re: Thank You UMS Developers
Thanks from here to. UMS is simple to customise. And it works great with my Samsung TV, iMac and Playstation 3. Little tweak for Samsung was needed but now everything works great.

Re: mkv = avi?
Can be. I investigated little by myself and I found:
The renderer thats found for my TV is Samsung-CD.conf. If I look into this file I see:
# Supported video formats:
Supported = f:avi|mkv m:video/avi
Supported = f:flv m:video/mp4
Supported = f:mov m:video/quicktime
Supported = f:mp4|mpegps|mpegts ...

mkv = avi?
Hello,
my TV is registered as "[TV] Samsung 6 Series (55)" in UMS. When I scroll trough my movies all the mkv movies show up as avi. It works, everything is ok so far. But it would be more accurate to show them as mkv. No?

Re: Exclude Device from Transcoder
Got it! I configured the .conf file for my TV. I just excluded all the files that don't need transcode. Cool program the Universal Media Server.
Like this:
disable_transcode_for_extensions = mp4,m4v,mkv,avi,mpg
Thank you.
