A place holder thread for discussion on development and ideas on how to show live streams of CCTV IP based webcams that are local in your own network through UMS.

I think the concept is simple enough... most IP based web cams output in the form of MJPEG, or H.246 video; just trying to capture that ...

Seems like there's a 25MB limit according to this . Maybe there's a way around it?

Edit: I found a way. Good to know that's an option. When GitHub removed the ability to host binaries over 25MB it was a shame, but I guess they were paving the way for this slightly different implementation

Typically a Tablet is a Client device. Whereas UMS (the S stands for Server) is installed and hosted on a Server like hardware.

Client devices typically dont' have the power (CPU, RAM) to transcode, store media (hard drive space), or bandwidth (typically wifi only) to supply ...

If they both use the the same UserAgentSearch then UMS might use the original, not the custom one you made. You should disable any renderer's you don't need to prevent that.

Sometimes you might have to launch Task Manager, and kill any Java.exe processes first, then run the installer.
