I was watching a three hour movie streaming over wireless which stopped to "buffer" three times - I realize the problem may be unavoidable because of my setup and it's not the fault of UMS, but are there any options I could change to try and avoid buffering in the future?

It may not be just my TV as some other media servers I've tried are detected when they're turned on before my TV, but I would much rather use UMS if it was possible.

I have to turn my TV on before starting UMS for it to work
Is this necessary by design? I'm usually in the room with the computer which means I have to turn my TV on, go start UMS and then go back to the TV. Is there any way I can get UMS to automatically recognize my TV is on after I start it?
