So 14.10 now released to us plebs..

Looks like I found a copy.. from

Which seems to have a sensible name to suggest it 64 bit... is 140mb as opposed to the default download from your web site which is 185mb
And on installation startup.. does not warn about there ...

Thanks... seems to be "working" to some extent... but I think its still messed up/wrong.
The download now downloads a version called "UMS-Windows-14.9.0-x86.exe"... which by normal naming convention would be 32 bit... and if I run, it gives the warning "A 64 bit version of installer is avail", which ...

Now 14.10 is out, 14.9 should be avail to all,
However, the download (windows 64 bit at least) is not working and just dumps to a 404 GitHub screen.

Thanks, it seems to be fixed, it now downloads UMS-14.8.0-x86-64.exe
Wish the installer was clearer on what it was doing, as it still remembered my install directory (even after a full uninstall) and so wanted to install to my "program files (x86)" directory,
SO I manually told it to put in the ...

That does not seem to work (for me).. Win 11 Pro 24H2
I did a complete uninstall.. and manually deleted remaining UMS directories in Program files (x86) and in Program data .. rebooted..
Went to do the fresh install and it again prompted per the OP post.
It also remembered the install directory ...

Quick update.. I updated to 10.12.0
No issues.. it started fine after the update this time.
I did close my AV before the install... so dont know if that made a difference.. or it just an instance of the erratic nature of the issue
Will try again next update and keep you posted.

I could try and do a reinstall of the current to see if I can reproduce..
But TBH.. I will just wait for it to happen at some future update.. and will post then.

I did wonder about AV, but as I said - my brother had same issue and uses totally different AV solution - so unlikely (unless UMS is doing something a bit suspect?)
My AV shows nothing in its reporting to show issues.
