Re: 250k downloads on Docker Hub

Indeed - the Docker concept is OK, but flawed because every installation is different and requires detailed knowledge of the nuances of each environment in order to get the images to work. I have read tons of "expert" articles saying "all you do is X & Y" and none of it seems...

Re: 250k downloads on Docker Hub

This is great - but I use UMS on my PC, and would like to run it on my Synology 423+ NAS (DSM 7.2.2). I have been able to install it, but cannot get UMS to be visible on my LAN (maybe something I don't understand about Docker and networking/bridging etc), and cannot I sort out configuring UMS on my ...

Re: Renderer graphics

Thanks - I appreciate the reply. It might be nice for the devs to include the Evo pic in the standard release though - the unit is one the 2-3 top streamer/amps. I will try the advice for my Evo.conf file! TBH, I add and subtract lines in this file just to see what does and doesn't work, as I can't ...

Renderer graphics

Running UMS on my PC is great, and I have managed to get a nice graphic to show in the UMS UI of my most-used renderer - a fabulous all-in-one streamer-amp, a Cambridge Audio Evo 75. (also available as a 150 version). At a minimum, seeing the device appear when starting UMS is reassuring for me.... ...

Re: [Tutorial] How to install UMS in Docker

I've been running UMS on my PC for a while, and it's great - much better and simpler than the rest of the bloatware out there. Mostly used for audio, but may also extend its use to video files too... I have a Synology NAS (423+) running DSM 7.2.2 and have been experimenting with getting UMS to run o...

Re: Add support for Cambridge Audio Evo streamer amps.

Thanks - but I haven't made any changes in the repository; it's all local to my PC. I don't know how to use github - I was hoping someone familiar might add Evo support :) ... As I say, at present, it's only about showing a picture of an Evo 75 or 150, I cannot send music to the unit or control volu...

Add support for Cambridge Audio Evo streamer amps.

I have been using UMS on my PC for a while now, and it works well! I have recommended it to many people, including those on the Cambridge Audio Evo users group. The Evo 75 and Evo 150 streamers have become popular and recognized as "best of breed" all-in-one streamers, so I reckon it's tim...

"Virtual Folders" as seen by renderers

I like UMS, and use it everyday, so keep up the good work. I am not familiar with the details of any of the specs for DLNA, but I have played with 5-6 server implementations and for rendering I use VLC, Foobar2000 (on PC, iPADs and android phones), Cambridge Audio Evo (an all-in-one audio player, hi...

Re: Possible filenanme parsing problem.

Thanks again! All 18 files in the test folder "play" OK on Foobar2000 and VLC (both via UMS & UPnP, not just adding local files), and the same with my LG TV. I'm not sure this is quite the same though, as none of the above have quite the same "enqueue" function as I see on th...

Re: Possible filenanme parsing problem.

Hi, I will get back to you with regard to the Evo images etc, but for now, I have the latest trace log attached. - The files in the test folder that UMS scans are shown in "files.jpg" (a view from MP3tag) there are 18 files, with the B52's album in a subfolder - In the CA control app, &quo...
