I just installed it on two Apple laptops:
a very old MacBook 13" dual core 2Ghz of 2006, 200Gb HD, 2Gb RAM to serve iTunes DB and flacs
a brand new rMBP 15" corei7 2,0Ghz Hazwell, 256Gb SSD, 8Gb RAM to serve iTunes DB and flacs too
Works just fine, no problem.
