its been almost a full week......and the only help ive gotten is "please install 64 bit java"................really? -deep sigh-

for the Record....I have 64 bit java installed...and PMS wrapper/service works fine....UMS does not...

Do I need to like bump spam or something?

Something I find very strange is that there is no Force Buffering option (and no I dont mean transcode buffer). Like a buffer option that compresses the video into a more easily readable format but buffers the ENTIRE video instead of just up to a certain amount. I have 12G of ram on the machine that ...

I did alot of digging into the slow/stuttering problem I was having, and it sounds to me like you are having a similar issue so I will suggest a few things.

1: java heap size, increase it, depending on your RAM and if you are 32bit or 64bit OS
2: this is an odd thing but I tried it and it helped me ...

I finally got my UMS configured exactly how I want it. Everything is working great, so I decided to install as a windows service and I have done this before with PMS and it was easy. But here...I get this lovely error over and over and over.

it seems making a Whitelist has solved this problem....for now....I get the feeling its going to come back though seeing as how many others have had this same problem. And what strikes me as odd is that it worked perfectly fine yesterday but today it needed a whitelist...why?
