4k support already ? ok now really interesting now but in 18 months i imagine UMS will be hevc+4k compatible for our tv's !

hi again VAL ! like i just posted on the other topic....my renderer is also the Mede8er (realtek conf file, logically) and supports mkv...

hi there valib; yes my renderer in case of mede8er support natively mkv and flac.... :roll:
i always use the realtek conf file (which looks much simpler compared to the ps3 conf :shock: ) as my chip is a realtek, but i tweaked it to make it more "Mede8er" with help here.

i have several mkv with 5.1 flac audio ! and instead of sending the untouched FLAC (as LPCM - yes i know as i must check that in the setings) UMS send it As AC3! i tried everything, still NADA !

any help would be grateful

ps: if i recall PS3 mediaserver did stream ...

HOW on earth can i stream a movie that has 5.1 FLAC ?? everything i do gives me AC3 on my receiver ! :roll:

i used ticked/untickied AC3 & Dts on ums: receivers gets AC3

ssa/aas not OK, natively or using Mencoder/ffmpeg; dunno why but these were created by me using subtitle workshop 2.5;
smi/sub are OK natively

txt did not work natively, but was ok with Mencoder

Any ideas ? seems like a simple modification, yet i id try a couple of tweaks and ...
