If you are seeing many devices that are not yours then my guess is Yes, your neighbors probably are able to see your UMS.

And what's more they are probably using your broadband connection too!

Check your wireless routers security settings that you have WPA2 enabled, might also be worth changing ...

I had a similar issue on Windows, after upgrading to 6.2.2, the directories would show, but no files were visible.

After Clicking "Reset Cache", things seem to be working again.

Why don't you add the correct java 8 path to the PATH environment variable?

From a command prompt type:
sysdm.cpl

That should open the "System Properties" window, Click the Advanced Tab
At the bottom t=click the Environment Variables button

I've seen the same issue a few times before.
However I've never had full logging enabled at the time it happens.

This sounds exactly like a firewall issue.

Every time you update your version of Java, windows will re-prompt you for the firewall settings, Allow Private Allow Public options.

If you incorrectly ticked the wrong option Windows will be remembering this setting.

For Windows 10 type "Firewall" into ...

Try downloading UMS for Java 8.

Go to the UMS homepage, where it says "Download For:" to the right of the Linux icon click the Down arrow.
You'll see the advanced download options now, there you can download the UMS for Java 8.

Hopefully that will sort it.

That sounds like a Web image feed.

You can edit the following file C:\Program Files (x86)\Universal Media Server\WEB.conf

Underneath the section # image feeds, you'll see a number of URLs which point to various sites for image feeds, add the # symbol to the start of each line to disable the feed ...

Does anyone know if the UMS logo that is displayed by a renderer can be overridden/configured in the renderer conf files?

The reason I ask is that I'd like to display my own custom png , so that the logo fits in better with the other icons on my Bravia W series TV menu bar.

Just wondering if anyone knows if there's anyway to be able to stream Sky Go through UMS?

I did some googling and found a plugin for plex but that was a few years ago and can't find anything more recent.

I can confirm I'm also seeing the same issue on a Sony Bravia
