Re: "UMS is damaged and cannot be opened"
OK, some Googling found the solution.
It's not actually damaged - it's the OS X Gatekeeper giving a different message to normal.
Normally it would simply warn that an unsigned app is unsigned, but for some reason it sometimes says that an app is damaged instead. This is apparently if it detects ...

"UMS is damaged and cannot be opened"
I've been running UMS 5b1, and just tried to install the recently released final version of UMS 5 for OS X.
I'm using Java 8 (up to date), so downloaded the Java 8 version of UMS 5.
It downloads and extracts OK, but when I try and open the file my Mac tells me that "Universal Media Server is ...

OK, by checking the log I found it:
"/Applications/Universal Media Server.app/Contents/Resources/Java/renderers"
It's not a location that you can browse to, as if you browse to Applications you only see the Applications - they are not like folders.

I don't know where that is, thoughSubJunk wrote:Find the renderers directory wherever the program files are and replace the file

I found this thread, but the location stated does not contain the renderers.

Re: OSX Renderer direcrtory
Sorry for the bump, but I'm having trouble finding the renderers folder on OS X.
"~/Library/Application Support/UMS" does not contain any renderers, and I don;t know where else to look.

Re: Xbox One Getting DLNA Support
I've done some testing with the XboxOne (I still don't got the DLNA extension I'm pending in microsofts limbo). But with a std XboxOne I can using a remotecontrol app (like LocalCast) play music on my XboxOne!!!! Which is kind of cool! Videos? Yes I get it starting but for some reason UMS thinks it ...
