Re: Copy video to PS4
When using UMS with a PS3 there is an option to physically copy the file to the hard drive, i.e. copy a movie to the hard drive to watch later rather than stream it. I don't see that option on the PS4 to physically copy that file over onto the hard drive, only stream it. Nothing really to with ...

Copy video to PS4
Just wondering if there is a way to copy MKV or other such files onto the PS4 directly through UMS like you can with the PS3? My internet connection is not great so I would rather copy the files over rather than try to stream. I just didn't know if there was some setting in UMS or that Sony just ...

Audio sync problem
Having audio sync problems when copying over certain files to PS3. All the .mkv files in the series (tv show) do it and is actually worse when I copy over the files as opposed to when I stream them directly from the computer to ps3, which I thought would be the opposite. Playback starts fine-ish and ...

Re: Which video files engine to use?
Any subtitles I do use are usually in the .srt format so ffmpeg shouldn't be a problem if I do a clean install. Try it and see how it goes. Thanks!

Which video files engine to use?
Just updated to the latest 5.0 stable build and am wondering which video files engine to use? I currently have (in descending order) MEncoder, AviSynth/MEncoder, tsMuxeR, FFmpeg, AviSynth/FFmpeg and VLC. I haven't changed my changed my config file or done a clean install so I'm not sure if what I'm ...

LPCM or AC3? or both?
Hey All,
I've been reading over a lot of topics about LPCM and AC3 in different forums but have not come to a clear consensus. I copy over .MKV files to my PS3 hard drive and watch them from there (disk space and bandwidth aren't an issue). My question (I hope) is pretty simple: what options in UMS ...

Re: Embedded subtitle problem
Yup that worked! Something funky going on with 1.60 and my system I guess. I was hesitant to update right away until I found the root of the problem but this works. Thanks again!
