Thanks for this - the database trick worked so that's all fine!
"The persistent error message: WARN Device descriptor retrieval failed, no response: http://xxxxxxxx" is still happening - looks like two addresses are producing the error... surely the fact this is happening every couple of seconds is ...

Persistent Error: Device descriptor retrieval failed, no response:
Since upgrading from v13 to v14 (in all it's versions) I've had a fair few problems with UMS on my Samsung TV. It either stalls, can't be detected, disappears, won't let you stop and change to a different file, won't load a file. There have been a range of issues, none of them reliably replicated ...

Re: [Solved] Samsung Q9 series issues
Thanks, but I have that enabled. The issue seems to be the wrong thumbnails and then the wrong files being marked as watched (because they've got the wrong thumbnails).

Re: [Solved] Samsung Q9 series issues
Sorry to be a pain, but it looks like the issue of thumbnails has raised it's head again. I'm still getting the problem with thumbnails not being marked correctly, or the wrong thumbnails being used. I've tried resetting the cache on the tv, but that doesn't seem to change it.
Is there anything ...

Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
I can also confirm that the problems seem to be fixed in this test. I will download 10.09.1 when it's available and let you know if all is well
Thanks so much!

Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
So it looks like it's moving the files okay, but some of the files that were moved either weren't fully played, or weren't actually watched. I'm wondering if this is a caching issue? I noticed that this time, thumbnails were generated but were showing as watched even though they hadn't been. Also ...

Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
Okay so here's my plan:
I will do a clean install of UMS; I will test out the 'moving' fully played files and send those logs.
There is something funky going on with the thumbnails - in one directory, there are thumbnails attached to Law & Order files that are clearly Rick & Morty thumbnails.
I ...

Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
So I tested for a few days. It occurred to me that part of the problem might be thumbnail generation. I've attached a picture of the files (three of which I watched last night) that don't have any thumbnail generation; therefore UMS can't make it as watched. All the files in this folder (as pictured ...

Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
Yes, there is definitely a lack of options on the Samsung menu. The thumbnails (when they show) don't change whether the file is fully played or not. I think my original point about crappy software on the TV might be the issue, rather than UMS. However, if anyone who knows more than me (not ...
