So it worked for "forcé" so I expect you hardcoded it in conf file, true? If you define it in UMS GUI, ums code will convert it to "correct" string in conf file.

i use server headless.
i don't use UMS GUI... I wrote my settings directly to UMS.conf, not via GUI.
over my tests, i concluded ...

ums.conf not recognized "accent, e.g: é,è,à,î,ï....etc...)
when i put forced_subtitle_tags = forcé
it doesn't work.
when i put forced_subtitle_tags = forc\u00E9
it's work.
why doesn't it recognize accents ?
ps: i have linux based os (archlinux), not windows
my LANG is : $LANG
fr_FR.UTF-8
