I had checked the ums.conf in my program directory and in appdata. I thought that was all. Today I did a search for ums.conf on the whole partition and found - surprise  - another ums.conf in c:\programdata. Therein auto_update was empty.
All good, thanks
PS: Btw, I found in debug.log.prev ...

UMS ignores "auto_update = false" and fails updating
1) UMS does not care, that in ums.conf "auto_update = false" has been set. So it tried to update today.
2) As usual updating does not work, is hanging, nothing happens.

Re: Update kicks out my personal receiver-jpg
Thank you for reply.
Okay, I may have done something wrong when updating to 14.0.* It works now with picture in same folder as the renderer confs. But I didn't get it how to increase the loading priority of that edited *.conf. I put it into C:\ProgramData\UMS folder, but the update 14.1.0 overwrote ...

Update kicks out my personal receiver-jpg
Since UMS does not have the right picture of my Yamaha R-N2000a, I added it manually into the ums.jar and edited the *.conf-file. All good ... until I updated today. The update overwrote the ums.jar without caring about my changes. Can you please keep usermade adaptions within the updated files ...

Re: Play all music-tracks in a special folder automatically?
The player is my audio-receiver. My question was not, how to navigate on my receiver, using UMS, but how to navigate, sitting in front of my computer, sending via web-interface in firefox the tracks to my receiver. I don't know how to handle the "playlist" there.

Well, so it seems, it was no dumb question, but one with the answer "no, it's not possible".
