I'm not sure if it's a placebo effect of knowing I'm running a new version with many updates and upgrades, but the quality of video streaming to my Sony HX TV is incredible!! It looks so much better than with the last version. Placebo effect or not, GREAT job with the new version!

Using *,off is working for me now. At least I feel better knowing that this is a bug and not something I was doing wrong!

Thanks everyone for your input. I very rarely need subtitles except for rare occasions when I'm watching a foreign film.

I just cleanly installed UMS 2.1.2 on my Windows 7 machine. (deleted the old version and the programdata directory)
