damn....still a no go :(
the only strange way i found to make it running is from the start menu, i select " universal media server (select profile)" then a select profile menu pop ups looking for a conf file (that does not exist in the first istance), select any subfolder inside the ums folder ...

Navigate to "C:\Program Data\UMS" and find the file "debug.log". Attach the file in this thread.


sorry no debug log file found inside UMS folder (tried to search inside all sub folders), indeed if i install and run the application nothing happen. Installation process was successful though.

@jobboy: Yes, UMS will transcode audio automatically to AAC/AC3 etc. so it fixes no sound for PS4 from older versions.
Not sure what audio formats are supported by PS4 but you can test LPCM transcoding as it is almost same quality (lossless) as DTS but encapsulated in another container.

i read on this forum that with the latest release (5.2.1) you can now play mkv files with dts audio on ps4.
My question is, is it a true native dts sound or is it transcoded to a different format ...
