Sure it cant find mplayer, but please ... in case of not finding a simple file UMS may log a warning but never throw an unhandled IOException or spam the log with the stack trace! This is really no good coding stil.

There is an unhandle exception everytime i start UMS on Linux:


INFO 19:05:23.033 [main] Checking the fontconfig cache in the background, this can take two minutes or so.
INFO 19:05:23.041 [main] Searching for plugins in /data/ums/ums-5.3.1/plugins
INFO 19:05:23.043 [main] No plugins found
ERROR ...

Any news on this topic?

How can i config UMS to only list video files in a given folder (or all sub dirs) or only pictures or only music?

Hi guys,

UMS is a nice project and working good so far.

But as you call it a "server" application you should think of replacing the config Java gui with a web Interface.
As you already have the basics with the "Client" Interface on port 9001, why not add the config stuff there too?
