SpeedyQ mentioned network speed... that's about it, not that im devaluing his input but what he said and what i found are not pretty much the same. Unless your saying he said i need to find the best setup for my setup in which case that was a stupid thing to say as ... ya think?! lol

Well..... 'may' have found a solution

Got the idea from this thread http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=45127

essentially people have problems streaming over a 1Gmps network but when putting anything in line that was 100Mbps the problem went away!

So.... i went to my network ...

Now correct me if im wrong, but i have roughly 90 Mbps speed from my pc to my PS3.. so this rules out a 10Mbps adapter? and cat5e is rated at 100Mbps so even if i did have a 1Gbps adapter it would default to 100 unless i used cat6. Taking into consideration packet loss an average of 90, whilst not ...

I tried the settings you suggested subjunk, no difference (saved and did a reset, actually restarted the pc..)

I presume you or someone has checked the log i posted with my initial post?

Though to be honest, a quad core 4gigs of ram, cat5 cable when most people use Wifi and only trying to stream ...

Ok ill try changing that tomorrow, getting late here.

What confuses me though is a film i have that played fine over the same network a month ago with all the same hardware now stutters.

Is there a way i can see the required bandwidth for a movie playing? Because this stuttering is happening with ...

Ok.. pausing for approx 3-4 minutes (while i made some toast) produced smooth playback of approx 2-3 seconds

Mr Subjunk, your reply suggests to me you think it might be bandwidth or am i misunderstanding you?

I did a lan speed test with a laptop at the point the ps3 plugs into. I wasnt sure which points to post so i did a screengrab (and crop lol) of with a hub in line and with out. used a 200meg test file

Does one of you guys who knows your nuggets see anything that would suggest a problem that may be ...

Bad Stuttering

Hi,

I hope you guys can help!

Im getting a bad stuttering on pretty much everything i play through my PS3, even just did a clean install with a few basic programs (skype, minecraft, jdownloader)
