Seems this problem has still not been solved (version 8.1.0 and 8.2.0).

I know this is an old thread, but since I got the exact same error I don't consider this hijacking.
This error has occurred for me in the latest 7.6.2-version with a couple of files.
The log-window doesn't show anything, not even that I am trying to open/play the file(s).
I tried both the 7.6.2 ...

I know this is an old thread, but this problem still exists. Maybe it was never fixed?
Today I tried a lot of different setups to see if I could get it to work, but to no avail.
1. I put a .srt-file with the same name as the .mkv that was inside the .rxx-files in the same folder as the .rxx-files ...

Sorry for the late reply, but I found some time this morning to test it out.
It seems to be a difference when sharing or accessing a drive compared to a folder.
