Re: Version 9.3.0 released

With this version, a number of *.ass subtitles, which i want to be transcoded by UMS, are not recognized. Within both my TV sets (Samsung E and Samsung MU), the files are listed with an {Unknown Subtitles} -tag, and the files are played without subs, e.g.: TRACE 2020-03-05 00:36:58.220 [HTTPv2 Reque...

Re: UMS stopped transcoding subtitles

thank you for taking your time. In this case, the update was recommended by UMS itself, and i remember that in past incarnations of the software it was generally advised to run the newest version. But i agree, i shouldnt have touched that running system. My question for you is which version you woul...

UMS streams to Samsung TV, but screen stays black

Hi,

see the attached log files. This behaviour is reproducible and remained after switching the encoder from ffmpeg to MEN. It started to happen after a recent update of UMS.

I am running Win10, 64bit, and a Samsung MU8000

Help is appreciated, as usual :)

New router causes UMS streaming to stutter

Dear Forum, you once helped me with a subtitle problem, i hope you can help me again. My old router (Fritzbox 3370) broke and was replaced with a Fritzbox 6490, which is a modem + router, so my old modem had to go as well. Since then, UMS started to get really slow with my new router (which is suppo...

Re: Are soft-subtitle settings controlled by UMS or by the TV?

Removing the support simply means that UMS doesn't think the renderer can handle them. That means that UMS will transcode the video instead, burning the subtitles into the video stream. They are thus handled properly by the transcoding engine (FFmpeg, MEncoder etc). One last question. I cannot fast...
