Whenever I try to play video files my TV does not support natively, if I play then using ffmpeg or mencoder transcoding, the video and audio play correctly for about a second (or a little less), then the video restarts from the beginning, while the audio continues playing normally. Any idea why TranscodeVideo = WMV works, but TranscodeVideo = MPEG.* all fail?

I have some of my video DVDs stored on my server in the form of a VIDEO_TS directory which contains the various files ({VIDEO_TS,VTS_nn_m}.{IFO,VOB,BUP}). I've used DVD Player.app to play these on my Mac in the past, and they seamlessly play as a single video.

I have created the attached profile file for the Samsung KU6000 TVs, based on this TV's documentation from Samsung.

Maximum supported version of UMS
Is information available anywhere as to what the maximum supported version is on each respective version of Mac OS X (or alternatively what the minimum required Mac OS X version is for each UMS version)? E.g. what's the last version that will run on Mac OS X 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, etc.?
