For unrelated reasons i had to restore my Dell Notebook factory image.
I have installed latest hava update and UMS and fortunately .mkvs play just fine...

My feeling goes to latest PS3 update.

I also think that this is somehow related to the latest PS3 update (4.41 ...

I disabled both antivirus and firewall and results are the same. Same error.
After i exited UMS i had to kill 8 MEncoder.exe processes.
Is there any beta build that i could try?
