Re: Version 5.2.2 is released

Ok hi valib sorry for the delay... Anyway have just reinstalled and now it seems to transcode correctly  No idea why tried everything to replicate the issue of it transcoding to AVC(TS) rather than MPEG-2 but could not. The only thing i can think is this time i redownloaded version 5.2.2 so may...

Re: Version 5.2.2 is released

Ill re-install it this week ( is there anyway to have more than one version installed at a time??? uninstalling and re-installing versions that do not work for just logs is a bit of a pain) And post the log in another new thread as it does not appear you can attach files in the announcements section...

Re: Sony TV can't play files on UMS

Is this on all versions of UMS or have youonly tried version 5.2.x and higher? None of the 5.2.x versions work properly on my Bravia either (different issue to yours) but returning to 5.1.2 cures the issues i have, that may be worth a go.

Re: Version 5.2.2 is released

Well tried 5.2.2 and unfortunately has the same issue as 5.2.1 had on my Bravia. Incorrectly transcodes to AVC rather than MPEG-2
:( Back to 5.1.2 again :(

Re: Version 5.2.1 is released

Paradox it is not true that UMS is instead of MPEG-PS transcoding to MPEG-TS. The problem is that your TV doesn't properly recognize the transcoded format file extension (.vob) which was added but your TV recognizes it as MPEG-TS. The transcoded stream format was untouched and is still MPEG-PS. On ...

Re: Version 5.2.1 is released

Not sure about anyone else, but since I installed 5.2.1 I've had problems with audio desyncing and I use the exact same settings as before. Depends what you are using to play videos on but 5.2.0 and 5.2.1 do not transcode to MPEG-PS properly when using FFMpeg. But instead have been transcoding to M...

Re: Sony Bravia EX devices broken again

Thanks Paradox but the bug I made myself. I didn't assume that some renderers not have to know the .vob extension (which is also the MPEG-PS format and in reality is used for transcoding to MPEG-PS) and know only the general .mpg extension. Hehe, well at least i know i was not going insane and it w...

Re: Sony Bravia EX devices broken again

Paradox can you try this update http://universalmediaserver-ci.hopto.org:9999/job/ums%20trunk/344/net.pms$ums/artifact/net.pms/ums/5.2.2-SNAPSHOT/ums-5.2.2-SNAPSHOT.exe ? Some renderers are using h264 instead of mpeg2 or that other renderers are not so strict so it can be the reason why others didn...
