You need to post debug files as descibed above in red. Capture trying to play several of the files that doesn't play, and we can probably see why.

What renderer software do you use? Windows Media Player cannot browse UMS content, but you can use a DLNA control point to "send" content from UMS to WMP as far as I know.

Ok, I was just asking because I have an Onkyo TX-NR807, and that UI doesn't seem to support thumbnails. But since yours are newer you probably have an updated DLNA client.

It's very hard to figure out an issue like this without having a device to test on.

UMS is a DLNA server just like Plex. If your device can't see Plex without an "app", then it can't see UMS either. The device need to have DLNA support for UMS to be useful.

It's allways good to solve problems, only a small fraction of those experiencing an issue usually report them.
