Re: Web Player

In the 5.0 branch we use ogg as the transcode format which most browsers can play as native html5 video. Flash is still possible as a fallback.

Most likely you have some permission error that don't let you write the log file. Change permissions.

Re: Webinterface, Translation, I want to help

If you take a look at the 5.0 branch we have gotten rid of flowplayer and uses ogg/html5 as format. So it should work with firefox and android. MP4 is still a no-go but we'll try again ffmpeg might have a better support there...

Re: Unshared maps in UMS on my tv

The WEB folder is part of the UMS delivery (and has been so since the dawn of time). It contains sample WEB URLs that you can stream via UMS. If you don't want it you can either remove the WEB.conf file (found at the same place as your UMS.conf).

Re: Grooveshark gs_plugin tiny mode false. HELP?

As always logs are needed. For gs add the gs_debug=true to your UMS.conf and rerun. Grooveshark might have changed stuff so things doesn't work. I personally don't use playlists so that might be broken.

1st your conf is malformed. It should look like

Code: Select all

videostream.Web,Jams and Cams=xxx,http://www.ustream.tv/embed/18759710?v=3&wmode=direct
2nd it will not work unless you got something that can resolve the real video url like the Channels or jumpy plugins. I'm not sure if they support USTREAM.

Re: Philips hue bridge detected by UMS 5.0.0

Yes and no. As you see you can't control anything on the hue which indicates it doesn't advertise any streaming capabilities. But it is detected since it send out proper DLNA messages. Since all renders don't behave as they should an correctly advertise themselves as "MediaRenders" we can'...

Re: PC TO PC Sharing

First you must have version 4+ or 5+. Then just start UMS. Now point your browser to
http://<ip%20of%20your%20node%20here>:9001
and your done. To test type 127.0.0.1 as ip in a browser on the same node as you run UMS from.
