Re: Ignore Files
@mik_s If UMS.deny was working I think it would be perfect for this type of thing. It looks like it works by using "regex" (regular expression) which can be quite powerful. To exclude a file(s) show you could: Add individual files. Add any file that had certain text or part of text in the ...

@mik_s
What about the ums.deny file.
It was broken quite a few years back but if I remember correctly, about 2 years ago work started on trying to fix it.

Re: Ignore Files
Can you be more specific as to what your folder structure is. Do you have seperate folders for: Video Graphics Music Or .... are there a mix of these file types in single folders. And What are the file types or extensions of the files you want to ignore. You mention "artwotk files". So I g...

Re: Ignore Files
Could you not have a sub folder for these files and set UMS to ignore that subfolder?
Or... do the files need to be in the same folder for the other apps to work correctly?

Re: Accessing web player via VLC/infuse etc on iphone
I see you have a static IP which is good. Have you put in port forwards in your router for ports 9001 and 9002? 9001 is for playing the media and 9002 is to access the UMS settings/config. If you are not familiar with port forwards, you would forward ports 9001 and 9002 to the IP of the computer run...

Re: AppleTV Renderer -- Where is it?
Not one of these which are included in the renderer profiles:
Apple-TV-VLC.conf
Apple-TV-4K-VLC.conf
Edit: Just saw that you found it.

Re: INFO Exception in thread "pool-7-thread-29" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
Yes, it has been an ongoing problem with UMS for years. Basically, Java is running out of heap space. If you are leaving UMS running 24/7 (like me), it can happen. You can increase the heap space allocation in your Java config although this will not fix the issue but let UMS run longer before it hap...

Re: UMS don't appearing on any devices
The Tp-Link EX220 should NOT be setup as a router. This device actually has an access point mode and that is how it should be setup. The problem is usually when you have 2 routers on 2 different subnets (not a good idea), is that the devices on both routers normally get internet access but the devic...

Re: UMS don't appearing on any devices
The ISP's router is the: Technicolor TC3102?
And all you have connected to that is the TP-Link SG1005D switch?
You have no other routers or wireless access points there?

Re: UMS don't appearing on any devices
It sounds like when the internet provider installed the new router, it was set on a different IP range than the original router. EG: Original routers LAN IP was 192.168.0.1 and the new routers LAN IP was 192.168.1.1 The other routers/wireless access points could have been in the 192.168.0.x range. D...
