Re: Is it possible to disable subtitles?

Yes, on your TV. Disable subtitles in UMS means UMS will not send subs externally or will not transcode file to support subs. In your case it seems your file includes subs (e.g. in MKV container) so UMS sends file as is directly to renderer without any modification. Your TV sees subs in containder a...

Re: Problem with audio sync (Panasonic TV)

1. Your zip file includes your Panasonic-Viera.conf file without any modification to the line: Supported = f:aac m:audio/x-m4a n:2 a:(?!alac).+ 2. I don't get the reason why your AAC 2channel audio is reencoded to AC3 6-channel and not streamed as is. Maybe try to change this line in renderer conf: ...

Re: audio streaming from a video file like .mkv

It depends on renderer. If file is fully supported then UMS sends video file as is. If file is not supported, it depends if final video is transcoded or remuxed. For every transcoded video, only one audio track is sent. For remuxing by tsMuxeR, you can set your choose. By default only one audio trac...

Re: No subtitles on Samsung UE40J5515 (J5500/Tizen) [Solved]

So subs still works by commenting "SubtitleHttpHeader = CaptionInfo.sec"?
What exactly means: "What does not work is mencoder"
Btw. thanks for tests 8-)

Re: Force No Encoding

Encoding engine is there probably due to subtitles. Not sure if preferred subs forces transcoding also when extensions are defined (restarting UMS is a must to be 100% sure extensions are loaded) If file will be still transcoded, then you should set this AUDIO/SUBS preference: *,OFF It says to UMS t...

Re: No subtitles on Samsung UE40J5515 (J5500/Tizen) [Solved]

Great it works and thanks for your tests. So to make UMS better, can you test if both changes are required or only one change is enough? Then developers can update Samsung conf file with only needed changes 8-) Thx Btw. you can also test final working state with commenting [#] this line: #SubtitleHt...

Re: Force No Encoding

You have many options how to do it. GLOBAL SETTINGS: Add preferred extensions in GUI to not transcode them (Skip transcoding for the following extensions) RENDERERLEVEL SETTINGS: Check DefaultRenderer.conf description for "StreamExtensions=". Edit your preferred renderer.conf More advanced...

Re: Problem with audio sync (Panasonic TV)

Ok then don't test mkv files but only problematic ones ;) Then your log is almost useless when only some files had problems but some not. So ignoring mkv files I see some mp4 files and also that UMS forces audio transcoding from AAC to AC3 and video is copied as is and muxed together by tsMuxeR. The...
