Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
@mik_s It might be broken, I wouldn't know, but I can tell you that there's no "advanced" logic that keeps track of what part of the file you have played and then looks at the total when evaluating whether it is "fully played". This would be quite complicated to do. So, when you ...

Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
There's not much you can do about a terrible interface except use a "remote controller" like BubbleUPnP on an Android device to do the browsing and playback control. When it comes to moving or marking files after they have been (fully) player, this has nothing to do with the TV. This is so...

Re: "Universal Media Server.app" is damaged and can't be opened...
There's no point in reinstalling, this is something Apple does to prevent you form running programs that aren't signed with a key bought from them.
I've explained how to solve it in multiple threads previously, so please search and you should find.

Re: New Update Causing Streaming Crashes
You can download older versions here: https://www.fosshub.com/Universal-Media-Server-old.html
Regarding the database, I don't know if it applies, but if it does you can find out how to delete it by searching this forum.

Re: New Update Causing Streaming Crashes
You can download and install any older version that you want. Just make sure to disable the automatic update. You might need to delete the database though, it depends on whether it has changed between the two versions.

Re: [Workaround] Subtitles with Sony Bravia KDL-W
You could also make sure that the renderer configuraton file for your new TV is correct. Not all TV's support subtitles via DLNA though, as it's not part of the standard. Samsung and Panasonic have made their own "unofficial" extensions that allows for subtitles to be specified. The render...

You can turn off the Windows "DLNA server" - they are independent of each other.

Re: no renderers found
I haven't looked at your log, but from your description it sounds like the problem is UMS' "auto detect" of which network interface to use. If you configure it to use a particular network interface or IP address (General tab -> Network) you should be rid of this problem once and for all. B...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
This is the web interface, you're not doing anything wrong, however you choose to characterize it
