Re: Samsung Q800T & Q950TS (wrong thumbnails)
If the thumbnails are wrong even after a reinstall then it is your TV that is caching them. See if there is an option to delete history in your TVs options. For my old F series Samsung there is an option in the smart features menu called "clear viewing history"

Re: Image freezes when voice is present in 4k movies
Looking at your log, UMS is streaming the video so there are no transcoding issues. I do see that there are forced disconnections made by your TV. I think this may be something to do with it not getting the data in time. Streaming 4k will take up a lot of network bandwidth but the speed test in your...

Re: Main 10@L4@Main causes MKV files to not play (I think)
Can't say for certain without logs (see the red section above) but if you have an older TV then HEVC will not be supported so UMS is trying to transcode them on the fly to a format that will play. It can take a lot of CPU usage and network bandwidth to transcode some videos (especially HEVC) and if ...

Re: "Transcode quality" option in Misc Settings is greyed out
I'm not sure but I think the change in being able to manually change the quality was done here and instead to automatically use the highest quality for the speed of the network. I don't know why there were two instances when you made your first log, but I suspect that it could be caused by problems ...

Re: UMS Using Massive Resources
Looks like something has happened to corrupt the database as your logs are full of database related errors. Quit UMS and delete/rename the folder "C:\ProgramData\UMS\database" and UMS will rebuild it on restart. Another cause of the high CPU usage is that the videos you are playing are not...

Re: "Transcode quality" option in Misc Settings is greyed out
@Nadahar beat me too it, there are errors saying that a port is being used Automatic speed tests were added not long ago so UMS can decide the best quality options to use for each renderer, so that option was disabled in the GUI. I can't remember if it can be overridden. Your network speed to your r...

Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
I tried on a folder that is monitored in the shared content tab and marking does work (I still need to quit and restart the ps4 media player for the thumbnail to change, but I guess that is not a UMS problem) The previous videos was part of a virtual folder which used to be monitored. @speckledegg a...

Re: tv without dlna
I'm not 100% sure but is a good chance that UMS will work fine even if you don't see Dlna mentioned in the specs. LG uses WebOS which supports that, my parents have a similar model and UMS works fine. A quick look at the specs for Phillips mentions a load of supported formats so that should be fine ...

@speckledegg could you post yours too so we can see if the same thing is happening, or maybe something unrelated.

Re: Samsung Q9 series issues
There has been problems with thumbnails being cached and not being updated marking them as fully played in previous versions, but now I think about it nothing I have watched has recently has been marked as fully played even after restarting both UMS and the mediaplayer on the PS4 which should clear ...
