Re: Chromecast

I use UMS to stream to my Chromecast without any problems, but I do so using Bubble UPnP to control playback from my phone. It seems as though UMS talks directly to the Chromecast, so this doesn't chew battery on my phone. This is similar streaming to my PS3 - when I want to stream content from my ...

I'm confused. You want us to change it to port 80 manually or that's what you hope will happen in a future update?

Re: UMS is "renaming" the files on the TV

Hello, i have a little problem with the UMS. The video files on my pc are named by the name of the tv show, e.g.: filename.mkv. But on the TV (Bravia KDLHX755 or 32W705B) is the name of the encoder, the language and the subtitle (e.g.: [MEncoder] (Audio: English) (Subtitle: English) instead the rea...

Re: Web Interface not working on iPhone / iPad

I've double checked the cookie settings on 2 IOS devices using both chrome and safari browsers and have the same result, so its not a browser setting issue. Can someone else on IOS 8.1.2 verify if this is an issue with UMS 5.0.0 on Win8.1 and java 8? Thanks This is all I get for both my iPhone w/iO...

Chromecast

Ok so I am having some issues getting UMS to stream to my Chromecast. When I click on my Chromecast in the detected media renderers area and then select a file to stream to my chromecast nothing happens. I've included a debug file that I hope you guys can figure out what's the problem on my end. Als...

VLC HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

So just playing with the different transcode engines I came across an error I haven't seen mentioned here. When selecting VLC in both my local folders and when trying to watch web video I get an HTTP Internal Server Error (500). However when I select VLC Web Video (legacy) the video plays after a lo...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (27 July 2014)

Sorry for the long delay :). The behaviour you describe sounds like a previous 'sudden death' bug having to do with jumpy sending a bad duration value to UMS which I fixed a while ago, but it could be the PS3, which has its own quirks, doesn't like this fix. I would try: Disable "resolve at pl...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (27 July 2014)

Jumpy just won't work. Everytime i try to install it, the installer dares me to shut down UMS. I reinstalled UMS ´completely. I kicked UMS out of the autostart, restarted the pc and made sure that Java is shut down, but still the same. If there is nothing to fix the problem i don't have hope in find...

Re: Jumpy Plugin (27 July 2014)

Hi there infidel hoping you can help with this. There is a plugin called video devil which takes you to a list of different sites with video. One of said sites is a live streaming site and when I try to play the video through UMS via Jumpy the video freezes and skips after only a few seconds of play...
