TV recommended today ?

Purely from a UMS standpoint. Have a Sony 40" since before. Somewhat slow and somewhat "quirky" to use in my p.o.v. Got a 32" for the kid's living room, quite recent model and that's actually quite good..... Having had Samsung previously, but before DLNA support, so,, haven't got...

Re: UMS dies nightly/daily by itself

Looks better so far with Build A3 and a reset-db.

Even did a rescan of all mediafiles without any hangs ( yet )

Re: UMS dies nightly/daily by itself

I think that this issue is new. Been running UMS for quite a while and despite the occasional hickup, this 100% crash on a daily basis is completly new. I could try reset the DB and start that from Scratch. Also, I think, not 100% confirmed, that this issue happens anytime after adding MP3's, Flac e...

Re: UMS dies nightly/daily by itself

Same thing takin it down to 800mb, maybe I have to try with the "exact" 768 and see if there's any difference.
Had it on trace, died on my just now, same CPU hog and java heap space error as before.

Re: UMS dies nightly/daily by itself

It's Xp/32 bit with 4 GB's of memory.

I'll try reverting to the standard mem size and see if that makes any change...

UMS dies nightly/daily by itself

I've attached a debug.zip that's NOT trace ( in this first step anyway) as the bug itself isn't really re-producable as such. It simply comes down to UMS maxing out on java heap, locked in at 25% CPU ( quadcore) and is simply dead. This without anyone actually playing anything. It just happens more ...

v3 Database - 2 instances of UMS ?

With previous versions, starting 2 instances of UMS with different "conf" files, different UDI, IP-port, etc worked very well and it was also possible to enable the "cache feature". It seems as if the mediadatabase in ver3 has moved to the doc and settings path instead of directl...

Re: [3.0.0.a3][renderer PS3] no subtitles

Got more or less similar issue; though 1st,im running the a1 build. Had a couple of 1080 mp4s showing the ext sub info, tried one of them to no avail, both standard and through the different transcode options. But, the 2nd movie, do show the subs without issues. Nothing stands out in the debug.log.Th...

Re: 2 nic's ?

Thanks... Im actually doing that part allready, got 2 different UMS servicing "full" and "kids-only" on different ports/UID, etc through the CONF option. More wondering whether one single instance of UMS could be active/seen on both NIC's at once, otherwise, my setup would end up...
