UMS

When UMS is running as a service
The icon is not showing in the taskbar

Could you please do what Tversity does
And provide a visible icon
Which if 'right clicked' will provide an option to 'restart' the service

Media launch times improvements

Just like to say thanks for the obvious improvements in the video launch times presumably as a result of the code optimisations - it is now noticeably faster than PMS. :D

UMS 1.2.0 and AviSynth/FFmpeg

I have started getting PS3 error "this data type is not supported (800266BD)" for all files transcoded using AviSynth/FFMpeg. They were working fine yesterday. I'm using LAV codecs (Shark007 Vista 6.3.0) MEncoder works fine. AviSynth/MEncoder is OK. TSMuxer gives error 800288E1. I reintsal...

Re: CoreAVC

And for LAV configuration, you have a choice of using the LAV install (splitter, video, audio) or Shark007. If you are using Shark007, try disabling FDDshow and render everything using LAV including AVI. I think you will be surprised at the results. Note you will neeed a Gbit link to your display ho...

However, CoreAVC support of VC-1 is limited. LAV on the other hand seems to have a much wider Codec support, is ...

Re: WHS 2011, AviSynth issues

Hi I usually find this is an issue with the audio Have you tired the Shark007 codecs (for Vista) with the LAV 0.50.5 codec release http://shark007.net/vistacodecpackage.html Alternatively, since you are playing just 'avi' files then try the LAV 0.50.5 on its own - see http://forum.doom9.org/showthre...

Re: Welcome UMS!

Welcome and really great news you are taking PMS to a new level. I have been using your PMS version for sometime now (PS3 output) and always look forward to the next release - there is always an improvement. I make extensive use of LAV filters (Shark007 codecs) using FFMpeg on WHS v1 (Q9550) and ple...
