Falling Skies

Post by SharkHunter » Sun Jul 22, 2012 7:53 pm

This is a series I can't decide if it is a complete waste of time or if it's good. The first say 4 episodes season 1 was complete crap (not complete but close to). To much "save our children" etc. Then the plot took a twist and from there it has been fairly good. Maybe I'm just a unsenistive european here who don't see the hollywood greatness here. But it feels like two series the first 4 and the rest. Weird anyhow.

Haha that's funny because I think I gave up on it after the 4th episode. Maybe I should try it again! Thanks for letting me know

At least the "string at board of lost children" as been reduced. It still from time to time enters "holding hand" "crying over lost relatives in xxx" but now the "action" is the main of the episodes and not the other way around. Of course it is still somtimes a bit "american" but you can live trough that.

Don't get your hopes up too high. There are some episodes in season 2 that are as bad as the first 4 but it 's better, it's in the end in derails a bit again. One thing hollywood knows is how to make cliffhangers :)

Good to know. Was just debating whether or not to start from the beginning.
Peace!

Well I just watched the first 2 hours premier of the show, and well, It's really nothing that hadn't been done so many times before. The world has been taken over by an oppressive alien force. The character are thinly drawn and somewhat stereotypical. I've to enjoy watch this TV show.

Yeah I didn't like it much until like 6 episodes in. But some of my favourite shows started really bad, like Dollhouse was the worst crap to begin with but then became amazing

I was satisfied with this series, and very happy that it had a solid ending with no cliff hanger.
