Version 4.1.1 is released

This release improves speed, improves file support and fixes bugs!


Changes since 4.1.0:
  • General:
    • Made videos start faster sometimes when using FFmpeg
    • Improved accuracy when parsing rare files
    • Improved folder population speed
    • Fixed x264 transcoding when using recent versions of MEncoder
    • Fixed Windows Java 6 versions trying to update to Java 7
  • Renderers:
    • Fixed external subtitle streaming support on Samsung TVs
  • Languages:
    • Updated French translation (thanks, Kirvx!)
    • Updated Spanish translation
  • External Components:
    • Updated MPlayer/MEncoder for Windows to SB59, which:
      • Fixes decoding of PGS subtitles
      • Improves support for many containers and codecs
      • Improves 3D compatibility on some devices
      • Fixes bugs
    • Updated Netty to 3.9.4, which:
      • Improves security
      • Fixes bugs
      • Improves memory use

It's what Roku owners say it allows them access DLNA servers...

Just to be clear, "Netty" is what handles the Webbrowser video's, right? the ones you access with ipadress:9001.

It handles the interactions between the renderer and UMS

HI LG-WebOS work perfect with 4.0.0 and profile LG LA 6200, other LG work fine too include the string into renderer file SupportedSubtitlesFormats = SUBRIP,ASS

with 4.1.1 or 4.1.0 failed to stream or is too slow....

Yes, they show up but they don't play. Needs transcoding...

Then create a custom profile following http://www.universalmediaserver.com/faq ... erSupport1 . It seems the Roku DLNA supports most common formats as per http://support.roku.com/entries/423946- ... l-support-

Hi!!

I detect with 4.1.0 or 4.1.1 and LG TV. when try to play a mp4, the ums transcode to mpeg but in 4.0.0 is detected h264 and send to TV perfectly.

in the 4.0.0 work perfect streams the subs when add SupportedSubtitlesFormats = SUBRIP,ASS to LGLA6200. This profiles works fine with LGWebOS and LG 60" top line 2013
