Still? Bah. Looks like I'm sticking with 4.4.0 then.

***UPDATE***
DISREGARD. I started looking through the support forums which is what I should have done in the first place (my bad) and I found that my concern was already addressed.
Thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3113&start=10
Link to version that works fine: http://www.spirton.com/uploads/UMS/UMS-30f0f20.exe
***UPDATE***

I was on version 4.4.0 and finally decided to update to this version. Now i'm having issues with "File type not supported" on my TV.

I have a Samsung UN55D7000LF.

UMS is currently running on a Windows 7 machine that is running Java 8. I have tried both the Java 7 and Java 8 versions of UMS with the same results. I went back and installed versions 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 and the same thing happened. So it appears this issue began after the update from 4.4.0 to 5.0.0.

I went back and installed 4.4.0 and it's working fine again. All files play with no issues. When installing, I choose clean install every time and I don't touch any of the settings. Everything is default.

If this helps, here are all the details about the file i'm trying to play. It's an MP4 file format.

When I got this problem I just ignore it and enter the first folder and it works like normal. It seems like the Xbox has a bug that interferes with our new 5.0 network stuff and we are working a workaround.

The only thing by getting it working again is renaming ffmpeg.exe to ffmpeg64.exe! How can i use 64bit transcoding? And ofc i've a x64 OS. The log issnt showing anything useful.
I'm having this same problem - searched the log as well. I'm on Win 8.1 x64.
Thanks for the solution though, something wrong with that ffmpeg64 executable.

Update: executable just seems to fail silently, while the renamed ffmpeg (the 32-bit one) keeps running.

If you could make a support thread for this with logs then we can work on fixing it :)

Okay, did that here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3216

Sorry for polluting this thread and thanks for all the hard work.

With a Bravia EX the subtitling doesn't work anymore with one mkv :

Format : UTF-8
Identifiant du codec : S_TEXT/UTF8
Identifiant du codec/Info : UTF-8 Plain Text
Titre : French Forced
Langue : frf
Default : Oui
Forced : Oui

Same problem here, subtitles are not rendered. (PS3 - Toshiba TV & Samsung F9000)
Only the first 3 are rendered, then, no more subtitles at all.

UPDATE : unchecking "Defer to MEncoder when transcoding subtitles" in FFmpeg settings FIXED this from happening.

Please, anyone able to reproduce ? Any developer willing to look into this ?

I've already unchecked "Defer to MEncoder when transcoding subtitles".
