Website & forum updates

Post by SubJunk »

Today we upgraded the server for this website to handle the extra load from all our new users and the many more in the future. Now we have a very overpowered server to enjoy!

Also, over the last 2 days we've been rolling out some updates to the forum.
Regular users will have already noticed the new subheader that fits more with the website's theme. In addition to that, we have enabled user avatars, so feel free to add your own!
Lastly we have added our own "official" avatars and ranks for people involved with the project so we are more easily recognizable.
This means that developers and moderators now have half of the UMS logo as their avatar, and their role is below their name on each post. Look to the right of this post for an example.
Enjoy!

Noticed the changes last night. Nice work!!!
Not sure how you find the time between doing the developing, managing the website and looking after the UMS community.
I take my hat off to you Subjunk.

I saw the change last night too. Cool stuff.
We reject: kings, presidents and voting.
We believe in: rough consensus and running code.
