i've runned some tests with this new version of the ums 6.4.0 using the ps4 media player version 2.0 on the connection part its working fine, the sound and transconding are ok too. the only problem that i encountered here is the playback side of things the unbanlaced contrast and the colors looking too vibrant makes the Picture look wierd. when the Picture is supose to be dark is bright making the blacks look crushed and washed out and when its bright is too bright i had a similar problem in this regard also with 6.3.0. the 6.3.2 image feels more life like on the playback side the color reproduction is good not too colorful and the contrast is more correct is bright and its dark where is supose to be. if you can tune down a bit like 6.3.2 i'll be really greatful on a future version and the rest i have no complains its perfect. ;)

thanks for the atention and have a good day.

Thanks for your testing. How does UMD usually outputs its video files? My TV is HD 709 calibrated so I would love to let the UMS let the file as it is on my hard drive and let my TV do the work.
Just like my Blu-ray player does. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for the new release, Working well for me so far.

Few reminders as I know you guys have other stuff you're working on.
1. The funny subtitle icon bug on the PS3 is still present.
2. UMS wants to send embedded .srt subtitles to MEncoder, although perhaps SJ still intends this to happen.

if you want the way you say you have to put the files you would like to watch on a external device and plug direct to your tv and let her handle directly. its the only way no transcoding at all passing trough the ums he insert the configurations into the final source. my tv is calibrated too i learned myself to do it because here in brazil we don t have professionals for this kind of work it took me long time to get the grip its is a lot to digest too much information but in the end Worth it. i prefer to use the ums 6.3.2 it Works better and maintains the quality the files without much change and i can use the ps4 and also the advantages of the hdmi 2.0a to make things look more realistic than pluging direct to my tv. but if you are a purist person just watch from your tv without any type of program. ;)

This is a very minor thing, of course, but I thought I'd mention it.... Are you guys aware that, on the Mac, the application menu (still) says "About PMS" and same for the About window? Thanks for all your hard work on this invaluable software. Cheers!

hey guys i've found something that could be fixed in a future version. on the transcoding settings there is this AviSynth/FFmpeg that comes along with tsmixer and others in the engine vídeos section there is an option inside that allows you to turn on or off the hability that changes the frames of the vídeo to be constant is the last one in the general settings. by default is turned on but i don't like much cause makes everything moves too fast so i turn off, but strangely everytime that i use ums the option turns on again unlike the other changes that i made they 're saved. when i come back to use ums they're there the way i did left changed but this one don't work like the others.
so everytime that i'm gonna watch something i have to go there unmark the option reload the server to make the option work and start to use it. i took a liberty to check on the other versions as well like 6.3.2 this also happens in the same way everytime the option to change the frames to be constant reset to the default on the AviSynth/FFmpeg inside the general settings. ;)
