VLC on android TV

Currently using UMS to serve my media over the wired network with all trans coding disabled for MKV and MP4.
VLC on my TV hooked up via HDMI(ARC) to my sound processor.
The sound processor(marantz av7703) seems to be only picking up 2.0 audio.(AV7703)
The TV, I'm pretty sure I have the sony X900F setup to pass through audio to the sound processor.(XBR-75X900F)
Anyone have any ideas?
EDIT: Netflix app seems to send full surround to the processor.
