Transcode folder still showing - despite Transcoding being disabled

Post by shoe »

Hi,

for testing purposes I added

disable_transcoding = true

to UMS.conf but the "TRANSCODE" folders are still showing up.

I know there is an show_media_library_folder = false option which I didn't use!

But my question is, is Transcoding really deactivated? I used log_level = ALL and I can't find anything. Shouldn't it note that Transcoding is deactivated? It also loads all the transcoding engines in the Log.

Can somebody please clarify?

Thanks!

The disable_transcoding option disables automatic transcoding if the video is not supported by the renderer defined in the renderer conf

The #--TRANSCODE--# folder is separate virtual folder that allows you to force transcode using various engines for testing and the ability to choose the audio/subs to be used.

If you do not want to see this folder you can turn it off by unchecking the Show the #--TRANSCODE--# folder option in the navigation tab.

You can also disable the transcoding engines individually in the transcoding settings tab.
