Does UMS 4.0 work with the PS4?

With the new web interface, Could we use it via the PS4 browser similar to Plex?
I'm still figuring out what port we are supposed to use......
Anyone know?

The port number is mentioned in the announcement (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2032)
I should point out that it is (as almost everything) configurable in UMS. Just open UMS.conf (no GUI config for this) and add where xxx is the port number you prefer.
Oh does it work well on the PS4? Haven't tested myself yet...

Hello I am also trying to run UMS on the ps4 and one but I keep getting application not supported I enter port 9001 . it does work on chrome.

For people trying to get UMS to work on the PS4 browser just go to the following link "ip address on PC running UMS:9001/web/index.html" example: 192.168.1.3:9001/web/index.html
I was able to play some videos but haven't tested what all the supported file formats yet
I'm trying to find out how to get "jumpy" channel to work but I think I need to contact the owner of the plugin.

Just tried your suggestion but the ps4 still gets "This data is not supported by the PS4" any other suggestion. Thanks

No. Web page will display, going into your folders you will see thumbnails for your files, but clicking any of them brings up some error about HTML5 and the necessity to install flash.

Yes the Web interface transcodes everything to flash. Why? Because that was the only combo of ffmpeg/browsers etc. that worked well enough. That of course means that video won't play on non flash browsers like android/ios/ps4. Thats life but I'm still trying to get a "clean" html5 transcodeing going.
All that said you can still use the web interface on the ps4 to view video/media from UMS and that is if the media is in an html5 supported format (mp4/ogg/webm) then UMS will not convert it to flash but instead stream it. So for those who get this to work they most likely have there videos in a supported format.
