Re: What do you run UMS on (Spec's etc....)
I run it on my main desktop:
2 3TB drives for media in RAID 1
i7 4770k
8GB RAM
Windows 8.1
Back when I ran it on an i3 550, I was still able to transcode on the fly with 1080p (when set to use 4 cores (Hyperthreading) and not 2).
Renderer: PS3, wired. Will switch to XB1 when it's supported.

Re: What do you run UMS on (Spec's etc....)
It looks like if folks are running multi disks, it is raid5 or raid1. Anyone else running other raid types?

Re: What do you run UMS on (Spec's etc....)
I just installed it on two Apple laptops:
a very old MacBook 13" dual core 2Ghz of 2006, 200Gb HD, 2Gb RAM to serve iTunes DB and flacs
a brand new rMBP 15" corei7 2,0Ghz Hazwell, 256Gb SSD, 8Gb RAM to serve iTunes DB and flacs too
Works just fine, no problem.
