Onkyo TX-NR717

Post by danielt »

Here is a .conf file and image for Onkyo TX-NR717. Probably work for all Onkyo internet enabled receivers, but this is the only one I tested.

Also, I guess I should comment I tested .mp3 and .aac. The other extensions are from the manual, but not tested. If someone can point to an audio test file hub, I'll run through several.

Thanks for that danielt.
It looks as if this conf will work for most if not all Onkyo Network enabled Receivers.
I'll submit it as a generic Onkyo reciever conf until something better is submitted
Thanks again submitting it mate.

I am currently own a Onkyo TX-NR515. I have downloaded the onkyo.conf that is on this page -- but I cannot get it to work.

I have also gone in and deleted user-agent infomation from the .conf and rebooted UMS and checked the trace log to see if I could see the identifiers for the onkyo recevier. So far nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

I cant see why this would not work. the 515 is also DLNA compliant. FOr what its worth the onkyo sees windows media center.

Any help would be great.

Could you do me a log as per this post viewtopic.php?f=9&t=556
That way we can see if we can put a .conf that may fix your issues

OK .. I hope i did this right.

My Onkyo receiver is on and I am looking at the DLNA screen. It currently shows Keith-PC (windows media center).
UMS does not show the onkyo as a renderer (coincidentally it shows nothing as of this writing). Now if i fire up my PS3 -- the ps3 shows up as a renderer (using forced Adapter/IP/Port) and works great.

I don't know what else to do regarding "reproducing the bug" as it just is not working. I have powered off all devices and restarted them several times before I made my first post, in the hopes that that may help, but it didn't.

If there is something i need to try - please let me know.

THanks for the help.
