Version 6.7.4 released

It fixes many bugs and improves support for devices.


Changes since 6.7.3:

• General:
  • Fixed a bug where thumbnails wouldn't always be generated when MediaInfo isn't used or available
  • Fixed regression in folder thumbnails on non-Windows platforms
  • Fixed a crash when the web interface's port is occupied, and do not fail restarting the server, if the server hasn't created yet (thanks, Zsombor Gegesy!)
  • Fixed many general bugs
• Renderers:
  • Added support for HE-AAC audio in MKV and MP4 files on LG BP550
  • Improved detection and file support for LG WebOS TVs

Compatibility notes:

These releases work on all versions of Java 7 onwards.
The Windows releases work on Windows Vista onwards. We are working on supporting older versions.

thanks subjunk for this new release i've been using the snapshot from the 3th of september it was really good from this version i hope this complete is good too.
i'm going to give it a try on the ps4 media player and report if something comes up.

I'm on 7.0.0-rc1, and it's working fine for me. Is there any major benefits to 6.7.4 over rc1, or am I gaining benefits of the 7.0.x series already?

FYI, I just installed 6.7.4 but it doesn't start, I'm using a Windows 7 64bits; so I went back to 6.7.3.

Out of curiosity, when will you switch completely to the 7.0 branch?

i've tested out on the ps4 media player it's working fine and has no problem with higher than 1080p resolution vídeos like i encoutered testing other builds from previous dates that i got looking into the forums. i think the ideal is to get the most lastest version cause is based on the recent master than the previous one it has all the fixes and updates from the older version and the lastest fixes and upgrades even if the number is lower on the versions.

it's ok subjunk take as long as you need there is no rush 6.7.4 is working fine at least for me on the ps4 i hope you can fix the 7 problems so we can make the transition smoothly.

Thanks for the info. I was one of the users with this problem, but it was much better with the rc1.

Ok, folder sort problem is there in 6.7.4 too:

What I tested:
- I set folder sort to ABC and push Restart button.
- I switch my TV to UMS and sort no changed
- Restarted UMS server with Exit and start again
- Switch TV to UMS and sort is ok.

Restart button (or anything) not working correctly after change folder sort. Cache clear not helped. Restart button worked under 6.7.2 version.
