Resume Folder Not Refreshing On Latest Versions Of UMS

I'm having issues with UMS that seems to have appeared during the 5.1 release were the resume folder isn't refreshing after movies are played. I confirmed it works on 5.0.1, which I'm currently on. I've attached two trace records to this thread of the working configuration and the non-working configuration. Also, in the main directory where the media files are located, a resume media file is not showing up there as well. I don't use the Resume feature, itself, to resume movies, only as a bookmark for what I've watched previously and what I need to finish watching.

Oh, and I'm not sure if anyone suggested it but, one of the reasons I don't use the Resume function is because it didn't work well for me in the earlier releases and, when it did, it would start at the correct spot but the timer would start at zero. It would be a great feature request that, if you stopped the move at 25:55 then when it resumes, it would start at that point or 5 seconds prior (would be even more awesome if this was configurable).

So I just tried 5.1.4. No dice with it. Only when I revert back to 5.0.1 does the resume cache continue to work. Any takers?

So, I tried a completely fresh install of 5.1.4 and, no dice. Resume files do not show up in the Recently Played folder nor in their individual folders after playing. I thought that, maybe, disabling the cache, would help since that was a noted difference between the two version but it did not. Attached are my config files for 5.0.1 and 5.1.4. Slightly edited to remove slightly more identifiable information.

Note that, I removed 5.1.4 and re-installed 5.0.1 using a clean re-install. I then deleted the UMS ProgramData folder and put back a backup copy of the folder in its place from before I removed 5.0.1 to do a clean install of 5.1.4. It is back working on 5.0.1.

Something else I noticed is that, when on 5.1.4, on the status tab, even after I've stopped playing a file, it will still show as playing but on 5.0.1, it will stop showing that a file is being played a few seconds after stopping it.

Also, my resume folder has about 1839 items in it. Could this be the problem? I wouldn't think so since, performing a clean install of 5.1.4, it still wouldn't work. Crazy.

You have helped in respect I have installed 5.0.1 and hey presto as you said those functions are now back.

I can only assume you have not had a reply because the lack of queries indicate that not many people are having this problem, (but there are at least two of us now )

Well, I guess the old saying of "misery loves company" is true. I still can't figure it out. I would love to get on 5.1.4 with, what I hope, is improved stability and compatibility but, without the resume folder working, I'm not ready to jump ship yet.

I have installed the latest version of UMS 5.2.1 and been running it for about 5 days and the recently played folder and resume functions appear to be back to normal.

Thanks for the tip. I just tried it out and it is working. SourceForge appears to be having issues so I had to download the Java7 version.

Update:

Downloaded the Java 8 version and it works like a champ. Thanks to the devs. Not sure if this was an intentional or unintentional fix but I'm glad to be on the latest version with bug fixes and new features.
