[Solved] Certain files not supported on Panasonic Viera

Post by mjb24v »

Hi folks,

First time poster, so hope this is OK. Been using PS3/UMS for many years!

My Panasonic TX-40GX800B isn't able to play certain videos ("Cannot read file")- I *think* older MPEGs are the issue, as the TV shows all the problem files as MPEG2-TS, and everything else (that works) has s far been identified as 'Video' (this includes old AVIs and all MKVs I've tested so far).

I was running the latest 9.x version but I have now rolled back to 7.4, using a clean install, as per this thread:

https://www.universalmediaserver.com/fo ... hp?t=13093

I've also tried turning off subtitles, which didn't work, and installing the latest K-Lite Codec Pack Mega resulted in no files playing at all (I think the problem related to FFMpeg).

I've attached the trace logs etc. Star Trek First Contact is an example of a file that doesn't play, which I tried to play while capturing the logs.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You are a legend - that did it! Thank you!! I'll probably do a clean install of the latest version and swap in this conf file.

Thanks again! :D
