Web authentication
Hi Everybody.
I'd like to enable web authentication.
I've found this post:
https://universalmediaserver.com/forum/ ... hp?t=13490
and so I add this lines:
UMS.cred
web.server = test,test
UMS.conf
web_authenticate = true
web.server = test,test
But don't work, can you help me?
I use UMS 9.3.0 on Windows 10

Re: Web authentication
It has probably been broken at some stage without getting noticed, since I don't think very many people use this. Try earlier versions, I know it works in 6.x.

Re: Web authentication
If it has been broken along the way it would be good to know when that was, Bezalel79. Please let us know if it works in v6 first
Re: Web authentication
I understand that at least until version 7.8.0 it worked
Re: Web authentication
With version 9.4.0 now it works.
Thank you very much!!!

Re: Web authentication
Hi! I'm using UMS on Windows, I can't find the first file mentioned here:
UMS.cred
web.server = test,test
Changing only this is not enough (Web interface ask for user/password but User=test and Pass=test didn't work)
UMS.conf
web_authenticate = true
web.server = test,test
I need some help here, thanks

Re: Web authentication
Ok, I figured it out
C:\ProgramData\UMS < This is where those files are (The folder is hidden).

Re: Web authentication
The UMS folder should not be hidden. The "ProgramData" might be hidden though, depending on your Windows settings.
