UMS 9.4.2 disconnecting
Hello,
I would to know how is possible to keep UMS online without disconnect/interrupt the streaming every 120 minutes about
The stby settings in my PC power management is disable, even the hibernation, just the screen is setted to go OFF after 30 minutes since years
Every three DC's Legends of tomorrow episode my TV is disconnected, I have to go back again into the UMS to restart the video
In the while I'll try to create a trace log

Do you have your PC set to sleep after 2 hours?
There is a setting in the general settings tab to prevent sleep During playback, While running or Never.

Hi, as stated before, the PC power options are all disabled, just the screen is set to be off after 30 minutes
About UMS instead, is set to "While running", and as UMS service (starting with windows is a not working feature) is always running....

Best not to have it running as a service unless you are an advanced user and know what you are doing, else will cause problems like not being able to change options in the GUI.

Re: UMS 9.4.2 disconnecting
Thanks, but as I already stated, "Start with Windows" option is a fully not working feature: a program link is added to Windows Automatic Startup folder but Windows fully ignore it, you can boot infinite times and the UMS will never start even minimized
So, installed as a service (with Start with windows option OFF) and that's all.
As soon as I need to open the GUI I stop its service first, open the GUI, manage, close the GUI and restart the service
I did two batch files doing my start/stop service (they runs as admin) for this purpose, if you don't follow this procedure you'll get some problems working with the GUI, as you already know
Anyway, I'll update to the latest version 9.4.3 and we'll see what's going on, thanks for your time for now

Re: UMS 9.4.2 disconnecting
As long as you manage the service as you described, you should be good running it as a service. It would still be interesting to see if the disconnect behavior remains also if you don't run it as a service merely for investigating this issue.

Nice suggestion mate
For now I'll use the UMS new version in the Service way, if that trouble will occur again, I'll disable the service and I'll leave the GUI open in Trace mode and we'll see what's happen
Thanks for now

Ok, finally I have to declare to have disturbed you for nothing:
While attempting to focalize the problem origin, I just replace my 5ht series Samsung TV with e newest 8th series. No more disconnecting problems.
So, accept my apologies
