seeing engine names instead of file names

hello all,
i see the codec name instead of the file names when i browse my shares with my tv through ums.
The setting to "do not add engine names" is checked.
Prettify filenames is unchecked.
Cache has been reset many times hoping it would help.
When i enter the folder it can go 50/50 if it shows the file name,
but if it does show the file names when i get in, if i go in a sub folder then come back,
more times than i can count it's engine names instead.
Problem happens in v5.0.0 and 5.0.1 with both versions of java 7 32bits and 8 32bits.
