I'm sorry nickhere, but I have a hard time to understand what you're saying. Please take the time to formulate yourself a bit more precise, I really do not understand anything of
any file dump to network drive is fine
but going thru jumpy it need to be /mp4
going thru the dlna server on my tv to the hard drive the file plays ok
but go thru the status setting pick your tv and then try to play the file the tv says cant read.
and neither how this is related:
I belive the panny suports html5 now
I don't even know what a panny is, but I assume you refer to Panasonic?

I dump a file to my local hard drive.
I can read and play that file with UMS perfectly with my dlna server

now UMS has a status page (first thing that comes up when you load it) I can click my tv and load the file
the file will not play
I get the cannot read file error

understand

I know what HTML5 is, but I still don't know what you mean - there's no HTML involved when trying to play a file from the "Status" tab in UMS.

To look at the error you experience, please post debug files from where you try to play the file from the "Status" tab.

It does work when I do it, that's why we need to you post debug files "recorded" when you do it.

nickhere, it may be that the viera is unable to parse the xml formatting of our metadata. There was a recent (possibly too hasty, authored by myself alas :)) quick fix in the code that may be involved here, so can you test if pushing from the renderer panel works for you in either ums 6.0.0-a1 or 5.3.1?

I mean just download and test using either of those ums versions. The code link was meant more for Nadahar, who was also part of the discussion back then :).
